Unleash your creativity in this hands-on Lino Printing Workshop, led by Zoe Platt, founder of Short & Few. Zoe is an artist educator and graphics practitioner with a background in graphic design and typography. With nearly a decade of experience teaching fine art, textiles, 3D design, and graphic communication, she’ll guide you through the exciting process of lino printing.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to carve and print your own unique designs using traditional lino printing techniques. From bold patterns to intricate illustrations, you’ll create a set of hand-printed artworks to take home. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.

To make your experience even more enjoyable, refreshments and sweet treats will be served during the workshop.

There is no minimum ability expected, however please note this is an over 18s event and that lino cutting and printing requires a moderate degree of dexterity and patience.

Beginner Embroidery Workshop: Introduction to Stitches & Visible Mending

Join us at Moss & Moor for a relaxing and creative workshop where you'll learn the art of hand embroidery! Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience, CarolAnn will guide you through various embroidery stitches, including running, couching, and raised embroidery. You'll discover how to embellish clothing, cushions, and other items, adding beautiful stitches to highlight and decorate, as well as using embroidery to visibly mend your clothes.

This hands-on session is designed to inspire you to repair, embellish, and transform your items with the beauty of slow, mindful stitching. With a choice of fabrics and threads, you'll be able to personalise your creations to reflect your style.

What to bring:
A small sewing kit including needles and small scissors.

CarolAnn is an artist and educator specialising in hand embroidery, based in the heart of Yorkshire. Passionate about eco-printing and visible mending, she focuses on preserving traditional skills and exploring the beauty of slow textiles. CarolAnn naturally dyes her own fabrics and threads from her garden, creating unique, sustainable pieces that celebrate the value of craftsmanship.
